Global's VIP light has been totally redesigned for 2010. The miniature bulb system has been replaced with an extremely bright LED array that emits essentially "cold light." This eliminates common problems with overheating, tube melting, or premature bulb failures that have plagued all incandescent models. A transformer reduces household voltage to 12v for safety. The LED array is aligned down one side of a narrow strip, so light intensity can be adjusted by simply rotating the wand. This light fits into all current tank necks.
